Our Expertise
At Malibu Photonics, Dr. Pepper brings over 40 years of experience in scientific and applied technology research, and intellectual property and technical portfolio analysis. He holds 71 issued US Patents, and is a Fellow, Optica, Optical Society of America. He earned a Ph.D. and M.S. from Caltech in Applied Physics, and a B.S. from UCLA in Physics, Summa Cum Laude. He was awarded a Rudolph Kingslake Award and Medal, SPIE. He was Associate Editor of IEEE JQE, and, has been published in "Scientific American" and "American Scientist." He was a Sr. Research Scientist & Mgr, HRL Labs, and, an Adjunct Professor, Pepperdine University. Dr. Pepper served on DSRC & NSF panels, and was a JASON Defense Advisory Panel invitee. He has expertise in phase conjugation, adaptive optics, laser ultrasound, laser communications, nonlinear optics, optical fiber devices, optical data processing, and photonics.
